Regional Trading

  • This mechanic is to replicate regional trading seen in video games. 

  • With the price of items being based on supply and demand. i.e lower stock of items drives prices up, and higher stock drive price down.

  • Due to this being a demo I have kept all the stores so the user can experience the mechanic without having to traverse miles of in-game terrain

Trading

  • The player can buy which decreases the storekeeper's inventory, which drives the price up.

  • The player can sell these items to other vendors or sell items which they have acquired (Acquiring items is not implicated in this demo)

Players Inventory

  • From the player's inventory, the user can see the items they have purchased.

  • Due to markets naturally changing over time with items coming and going. I have implemented a button that refreshes the storekeeper's inventory to replicate this.
